Ahead of their NFC Championship matchup with the Green Bay Packers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will receive a boost to their defense with the return of linebacker Kevin Minter.

The former LSU standout will be available after being reinstated from the COVID-19/reserve list, per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times:

Minter was initially ruled out on January 11th, which forced him to miss the Buccaneers' NFC Divisional Round victory over the Saints, with Devin White taking his place.

Minter collected 19 tackles this season, appearing in 16 games for Tampa Bay. The eight-year pro also features extensively on special teams for the Bucs.

With Minter back in the lineup, the Buccaneers now have four inside linebackers ready to suit up on Sunday against the Packers, which is typically the amount that are active for a regular game.

In 107 career regular-season games, he has collected 314 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, and 18 quarterback hits.

The Buccaneers will be looking to continue their impressive run in the postseason as they sit just one victory away from a Super Bowl appearance. Tom Brady will have his work cut out for him though against an electric Packers team.

The Bucs will certainly not have any shortage of linebackers though for the NFC Championship.
