Giannis Antetokounmpo and the short-handed Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons 117-89 on Tuesday. Giannis has had 28 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds.

A few bucks were able to step up as Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and others did not play today. Pat Connaughton and second-year player Jordan Nwora added 16 points.

Milwaukee moved to 4-4 on the season while the Pistons move to 1-6.

It was another disappointing night for the Pistons. The only bright spots for them were Jerami Grant with 21 points, and Trey Lyles with 13 points.

The number one overall pick in this year's draft, Cade Cunningham, went 2-14 in his second NBA game, including 0-9 from the three-point line. He is now 3-22 throughout the season and has missed all 14 3-point attempts. Although it's still early, the Pistons are hoping that they can get some more production out of their first overall pick, and the future of their franchise.

The Bucks dominated this one thanks to a 21-8 run to take a 57-39 lead at halftime. Giannis had 16 points in the second half and finished with 28 points despite only playing 27 minutes. The Bucks went on cruise control in the second half to get an easy win against the Pistons.

Milwaukee will host the New York Knicks on Friday. The Pistons will host the Philadelphia 76ers. Milwaukee is hoping that Jrue Holiday can come back for their game against the Knicks, as Khris Middleton just entered the COVID-19 protocols on Monday.
