The injury bug has bitten the Milwaukee Bucks very badly this season. Several of their key players have missed time and are nearing 30 players used this season. Now, they may now be without one of their new reserve players.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, DeAndre' Bembry's season may be over. The Bucks' midseason addition injured his knee in a loss to the Golden State Warriors.
Bembry joined Milwaukee after being released from the Brooklyn Nets. The 27-year-old played just 9.8 points per game in eight games for the Bucks this season, scoring 0.8 points per game. His defense made him a solid backup for Giannis Antetokounmpo but it seems like he won't be able to help the Bucks defend their title.
Fortunately for the Bucks, Brook Lopez could make his return soon. He has only played in one game this season due to a back injury. Getting him back will be a big boost, as it will allow Bobby Portis to return to the bench and excel as a reserve scorer.
While George Hill and Pat Connaughton continue to heal, the Bucks will have to lean on Jordan Nwora and Wes Matthews off the bench. The Bucks, who won six straight games prior to the loss to the Warriors, are 42-26 on the season. They are just a few games back of the Miami heat for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
