The Milwaukee Bucks duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton have confirmed that they will be taking part in the league's initiative of allowing players to change the names at the back of their jerseys to send a message promoting social justice.

For Giannis, he has decided to go for the word “equality:”

On the other hand, Middleton's choice is a bit more timely, with the All-Star swingman opting for the “Black Lives Matter” slogan on his jersey:

It's great to hear how the two best players of the top team in the league are all-in in supporting this commendable initiative by the NBA. Hopefully, the rest of the team follows suit.

For what it's worth, Bucks veteran Kyle Korver made an earlier announcement that similar to Middleton, he too will be dawning the “Black Lives Matter” statement on his shirt.

The Bucks are obviously in full support of the fight against social injustice that has gripped the nation of late. However, it's certain that they have kept their eyes on the prize.

Milwaukee entered the hiatus with the best record in all of the NBA, and the team hopes to maintain this advantage the rest of the way. Moreover, this team is out on a redemption run, after failing to progress to the NBA Finals last term.

It's almost championship or bust for the Bucks at this point, and at the very least, anything less than a trip to the Finals will be considered as another huge disappointment to their campaign.
