Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo told reporters during the NBA hiatus he didn't have access to a basketball hoop.

It turns out the Bucks star was joking around with everyone.

The hiatus was good for Giannis in the sense that he was able to rest his injured knee and spend time with his newborn son.

However, The Greek Freak admitted he was lost without basketball, so Giannis is certainly happy to be playing the game he loves again.

Antetokounmpo was averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists for the Bucks prior to the season getting suspended. He was shooting 54.7 percent from the floor, 30.6 percent from beyond the arc and 63.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Giannis could very well repeat as MVP. If the All-Star wins MVP again, he'll become the first player since Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry to win back-to-back MVP awards.

The Bucks, just like last season, have the best record in the NBA. The team will try and knock off the rust before the 2020 playoffs start during the eight seeding games, which begin on July 30.

Most NBA pundits believe Giannis and Milwaukee will win the Eastern Conference and face off against either the Los Angeles Lakers or Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA Finals. The Bucks are the heavy favorites to win the East now that Kawhi Leonard is out West.
