The Milwaukee Bucks may have defeated the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals, but there's a bit of concern regarding the status of starting forward Khris Middleton, who was seen limping as he walked out of the TD Garden after the team's 123-116 victory.
The first time All-Star finished with 20 points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals in 20 minutes of action.
Middleton has continued to perform at a high level through these first three games of the second round, averaging 22 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. He's been serving as the reliable backup of Giannis Antetokounmpo, and together, they have punished the Celtics' defense.
There have been no reports on Middleton suffering an injury during Game 3, but if he does have one, it could hurt the Bucks' chances of winning Game 4 on Monday.
The Bucks are already dealing with injuries to guards Malcolm Brogdon (right plantar fasciitis tear), Sterling Brown (back spasms), Donte Donte DiVincenzo (left bilateral heel bursitis), as well as forward Pau Gasol (ankle). If Middleton will miss a significant amount of time, Pat Connaughton and Tony Snell are expected to get extended minutes on the floor. Eric Bledsoe might also see some action at the small forward spot.
But if Middleton does end up playing on Monday, expect the Bucks to closely monitor his situation.
