Giannis Antetokounmpo is celebrating his 26th birthday on Sunday, and his Milwaukee Bucks teammates sought to make sure that the two-time MVP knew that he was appreciated. With the pending decision of Antetokounmpo's supermax extension on the horizon, Khris Middleton and Pat Connaughton made sure to throw some humor at the Greece native.

The two teammates decided to buy Antetokounmpo a pen for his birthday, a nod to their hoping in him signing the extension offered by the Bucks, per ESPN's Malika Andrews.

As it stands, Antetokounmpo has until Dec. 21 to decide on the five-year extension with the only team he's played for during his NBA career. Many assumed that his decision would be made by now, but it appears that he may take extra time to mull over the career-altering decision with his inner circle before finally deciding.

The Bucks front office did their very best to attract talent to the roster this offseason. At one point, they'd managed to reportedly trade for Bogdan Bogdanovic, but miscommunication from both parties saw the deal fall through, with the Bucks now being in the middle of an investigation following the mishandled trade.

They were able to land Jrue Holiday, who's a significant upgrade from Eric Bledsoe in the backcourt. Even so, just grabbing Holiday doesn't push the Bucks to being in better shape on contending for a championship compared to last season. Also, the Bucks failing to land Bogdanovic may not sit right with Antetokounmpo, especially after he tried to recruit the sharpshooter to Milwaukee.

If the Bucks can't convince Antetokounmpo to agree to the extension on the table, it could be a cringe season ahead. Any minor mistake that takes place could be the final straw that pushes the four-time All-Star out the door.
