Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Kyle Korver could play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday at Staples Center.

Korver has missed nine straight games because of a back injury:

The Bucks initially thought Korver’s back injury would be a short-term thing, but it turned into a bigger issue than expected.

One of the best shooters in NBA history, Korver has appeared in 47 games for the Bucks this season. He’s averaging 6.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 41.8 percent from the field, 40.7 percent from beyond the arc and 83.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Kyle Korver is in his first season with the Bucks, who are 53-9 on the season and have already clinched a playoff spot. The 38-year-old vet is going to be a great weapon for Milwaukee in the postseason, especially with his career playoff averages of 8.1 points on 39.1 percent shooting from the 3-point line.

The Bucks will be playing the Lakers for the final time in the regular season. They won the first meeting, 111-104, behind Giannis Antetokounmpo's 34 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. With that said, Coach Mike Budenholzer and Co. can expect the Purple and Gold to play with more motivation to take their revenge and send a massive statement against the best team in the NBA.
