Despite seeing a roster overhaul in the offseason, the Milwaukee Bucks continue to hold their position as one of the heavy favorites heading into the next year's campaign. As per The Athletic‘s Jason Quick, the Wisconsin-based squad was given the highest over/under line for regular-season wins with 51 for the 2020-2021 NBA season.

The Bucks have been exerting their best efforts to improve their roster and surround their two-time MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo with all the help that he needs. The front office is also promptly moving their pieces in a bid to convince the Greek national to finally sign the supermax extension being laid out on the table by the team.

Team general manager Jon Horst came out with a shocker and pulled off a trade to acquire veteran guard Jrue Holiday from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, three first-round picks, and two future first-round pick swaps. The trade for Holiday was eventually stretched to a complicated four-team deal involving the Denver Nuggets and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Not long after, the Bucks also attempted to acquire swingman Bogdan Bogdanovic from the Sacramento Kings but his supposed sign-and-trade deal ultimately fell apart as he remains to be a restricted free agent to this day.

The team also saw veteran shooter Wesley Matthews take his talents to the Los Angeles Lakers while Sterling Brown headed to sign with the Houston Rockets. In an attempt to answer back, the Bucks proceeded to acquire D.J. Augustin from the Orlando Magic, Bobby Portis from the New York Knicks, and Bryn Forbes from the San Antonio Spurs.

A youth movement is also set in place with the arrival of younger players in Jordan Nwora, Sam Merrill, Jaylen Adams, and Mamadi Diakite at Milwaukee. The Bucks ended last year's regular season with a 56-17 record to sit atop the Eastern Conference but ultimately succumbed to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals in five games.

The Bucks still have several days left to complete their roster and aim for a better campaign heading into the 2020-2021 NBA season.
