After making a jump in head coach Jason Kidd's third season with the team, the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to take the next step heading into the 2017-18 NBA season. Led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks have a strong starting lineup with Malcolm Brogdon, Khris Middleton, Jabari Parker (injured), and Thon Maker.

As is the case with all 30 teams, the Bucks invited numerous players to their training camp roster. With the Bucks preparing for their 2017-18 season opener against the Boston Celtics, they have waived three players according to Twitter:

While Gary Payton II appeared in six games for the team last season, it was difficult seeing him, Brandon Rush, or Joel Anthony making the opening day roster. Although Milwaukee did not make any significant moves during the offseason, they drafted DJ Wilson and Sterling Brown while signing Gerald Green.

Heading into the new season, all the attention is on the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers. While one of those teams are expected to represent the Eastern Conference in the 2018 NBA Finals, the Bucks are one of the teams expected to challenge them in the long-term. If Antetokounmpo is able to take the next step in his development and Parker is able to stay relatively healthy once he returns from injury, Milwaukee has a bright future.
