Contrary to a prior report by Arizona Sports Radio's John Gambadoro, the Milwaukee Bucks reportedly did not make an offer for Kyrie Irving to the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press.

Gambadoro offered that the Phoenix Suns were not close to a deal with the Cavs to acquire the 25-year-old star point guard, but offered a “nugget” — which had the Bucks putting together a trade offer of Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, three-and-D specialist Khris Middleton, and a first-round pick.

The Bucks could have potentially armed a superteam with the addition of Irving, the ever-evolving Most Improved Player Giannis Antetokounmpo and the impending recovery of power forward Jabari Parker, but as it turns out — such offered was not in place.

Irving now embarks on a similar mission with a new cast, including young prospect Jaylen Brown, new acquisition Gordon Hayward, center Al Horford, and the recently-traded Marcus Morris — giving him a different set of tools to work alongside.

Milwaukee still has the right pieces to make a dent in the Eastern Conference and aim for an even higher seed if they can keep bodies on the court coming into this 2017-18 season.
