By going out and acquiring big man Serge Ibaka, the Milwaukee Bucks made a wonderful move. Ibaka has spent his whole career as an elite role player, and he will undoubtedly aid this Bucks club in their quest for another NBA title.

Going into the trade deadline, the most important thing this Bucks team needed was a big man. They did a fantastic job by not only acquiring a respectable big man, but also a player who has the potential to push them over the top and help them win an NBA championship.

According to Jim Owczarksi, reporter for the Bucks, Ibaka had this to say about joining the defending champions,

“New Bucks big man Serge Ibaka said knew he was going to get traded, and when he heard it was Milwaukee that made the deal? “Like, yeah, I'm going to play with the champs. When I heard it was the Bucks, I was excited.”

It's unknown when he'll make his Bucks debut, but it should be soon so he can get started with this squad as they aim to win back-to-back NBA titles.

If he can continue being the type of stretch big that he has been for the better part of his career, opposing teams aren't going to have much fun playing against a healthy Bucks team, although they already weren't. Stretch bigs usually play exceptioanlly well next to Giannis, and that's exactly why the front office went out and got a guy like Ibaka.
