The Milwaukee Bucks issued a team statement following their decision to boycott Game 5 of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic. The made the move in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin over the weekend.
Veteran point guard George Hill and shooting guard Sterling Brown ā surrounded by their teammates ā read a statement to the media in which they demanded the Wisconsin state legislature to reconvene and charge the officers involved in the shooting of Blake.
The statement also called on more accountability from lawmakers and change agents nationwide.
At the end of the statement, however, a reporter asked whether the Bucks plan to continue playing this season ⦠to absolutely no avail.
