Chicago Bulls rookie point guard Coby White says Portland Trail Blazers star guard Damian Lillard is his favorite player in the NBA.

White admits he “might be a little starstruck to be on the same court” as Lillard when the Bulls and Blazers face off next season.

“Shoot, I did it at D-Wade’s when I was on the same court with Devin Booker and them. But I feel like Damian Lillard would be the most because he’s my favorite player,” White told the Chicago Sun-Times. “So when I play against him, I might be a little starstruck to be on the same court.”

Both Coby White and Damian Lillard have endorsement deals with Adidas, so they'll be around each other in the offseasons a lot. Off the court, Lillard is a friendly guy. On the court, though, the Blazers superstar is coming for blood and White has to be prepared for that.

The Bulls selected White with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of UNC. The speedster averaged 16.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists last season in college while shooting 42.3 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from beyond the arc and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line.

White is expected to be the Bulls' backup point guard next season behind Kris Dunn.
