Former Chicago Bulls guard and current NBC Sports Chicago analyst Kendall Gill told a fascinating Dennis Rodman story recently.

Back when he was playing for the New Jersey Nets, Gill was hanging out with Rodman the night before a game. They went to a strip club, with Gill leaving around 12:30 in the morning.

Rodman ended up staying at the club until 5:00 in the morning. When Gill found out, he told his Nets teammates there was no way Rodman was going to play well for the Bulls against them.

However, Dennis wound up grabbing 20 rebounds against the Nets:

Rodman is probably the only player in NBA history who can pull this off. The Bulls legend had energy for days.

ā€œThe Wormā€ was a pest for the Detroit Pistons when they matched up against the Bulls. Everyone in Chicago ā€” including Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen ā€” hated Rodman.

However, that all changed when Jerry Krause acquired Rodman from the Spurs in October of 1995. Bulls fans wound up loving Dennis and Jordan said in episode 3 ofĀ The Last DanceĀ that Rodman is one of the smartest players he ever played with.
