These days, Chicago Bulls big man Tristan Thompson has been making more headlines for his life outside basketball than the things he's doing outside the basketball world. Such is the prize/curse of once being in a relationship with reality TV superstar Khloe Kardashian.
Thompson's rather conspicuous relationship with Kardashian has been well-publicized. So have been the Bulls vet's extra curricular alleged affairs during (and after) their time together as lovers. Be that as it may, Thompson apparently still holds a special place in Khloe's heart. Not in a romantic manner, but rather, as the father of their child, Truth:
“It's sad because, like, there's so many good sides to him as well, but no one gets to see those 'cause they're all overshadowed by, like, the personal stuff that's going on between him and I,” Kardashian said in a recent podcast appearance (h/t TooFab).
“I want everyone to still have, like, a fair shot at just being happy and having a good life. So I don't ever encourage anyone to just, like, jump on that bandwagon, but I also think people can have their own feelings and do what they want, but he's always going to be in my life because of True, and he's a great dad, and that's all I really need to focus on is just his relationship with True.”
Kardashian also went on to describe how the Bulls veteran has kept a close relationship with their daughter. Apparently, Thompson Facetimes True every night, and whenever he and Khloe get to talk, things are “cordial” and there's just no “drama” between them.
Despite his unsavory reputation of being a ladies' man, Thompson is apparently a very good dad. At the end of the day, this is what matters the most, I guess.
