The Chicago Bulls will be without forward Otto Porter Jr. for Monday's contest against the Phoenix Suns due to a right rotator cuff strain.

Porter was limited to just 24 minutes during Sunday's succinct defeat at the hands of the Sacramento Kings. He is now set to miss his third game since being acquired by Chicago prior to the NBA Trade Deadline.

In 15 games since his arrival from the Washington Wizards, Otto Porter Jr. has averaged 17.5 points per game while shooting 48.3 percent from the field overall and 48.8 percent from long range. He has averaged 1.3 makes per game from three over the course of his career, but in his small sample size with the Bulls, he has knocked down 2.6 per contest.

Washington selected Porter with the third overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. He developed into the starting small forward by his third season in the league, averaging 10.7 points across his parts of six seasons with the franchise. In July 2017, he inked a four-year, $106.5 million offer sheet from the Brooklyn Nets, just for the Wizards to match, with the idea of teaming him alongside John Wall and Bradley Beal for their nucleus of the future.

Following the season-ending Achilles/heel injury to Wall earlier this season, the Wizards moved on from Porter as well, getting back Jabari Parker and Bobby Portis in exchange.

Now, Porter is a part of another young nucleus, this time in Chicago with Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and Lauri Markkanen. He'll be sidelined Monday, with his next chance to take the floor coming Wednesday against those very same Wizards, whom he scored 17 points against in his first time serving as an opponent back on Feb. 9.
