Things have hit a sudden halt for former All-Star point guard Derrick Rose as he has taken a temporary leave of absence from the Cleveland Cavaliers to contemplate if he wants to continue playing basketball.

During the process, it has brought his career full circle with what he has accomplished over his entire NBA career. His former head coach Tom Thibodeau weighed on the situation giving his full support toward Rose in whatever he decides to do next, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

It has been a continuous battle with leg injuries for the 29-year-old over the last several seasons that has severely impacted his ability to stay on the court for long periods of time. This has also put a damper on what was once a promising career that saw him win an MVP award, three NBA All-Star selections, an All-NBA First Team nod, and won an NBA Rookie of the Year award.

There is also a great appreciation toward Rose from the city of Chicago for his will to continue to power through the injuries to help the Chicago Bulls try to win an NBA title. Although he wasn't able to accomplish that with his hometown team, he has earned a massive amount of respect for his efforts and dedication to work his way back from the various ailments over his tenure with the Bulls.
