It looks like the Chicago Bulls have made it clear to other teams that they have no plans of letting Zach LaVine walk away in free agency this 2022 offseason.

As reported earlier by Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, LaVine is expected to re-sign with the Bulls when free agency opens on June 30. NBA insider Marc Stein corroborates that claim now, noting how a “similar messaging has been conveyed to teams that were plotting to make a run at prying LaVine away” from Chicago.

This is certainly good news for the Bulls, especially as they hope to get some continuity in their bid to become title contenders in the East. Keeping LaVine alongside DeMar DeRozan definitely improves Chicago's chances of making a deeper postseason run come 2023.

Zach LaVine is expected to sign a five-year deal with the Bulls at the $200 million range, and sure enough, he has worked hard to deserve that contract. While he struggled with injuries this past season, he is still an All-Star and one of the best scorers in the NBA.

The likes of the Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Lakers have been reported to have interest in LaVine in free agency, but by the looks of it, they have to shift their focus on their other targets instead of hoping to get the athletic guard from the Bulls.
