With the strong start he’s had in the NBA so far, it’s hard to imagine Lauri Markkanen blossoming in a different career rather than being a professional basketball player. However, he recently showed off his skills in soccer, which impressed Zach LaVine and other Chicago Bulls personnel who witnessed it live.

The 20-year-old Finnish international juggled the ball on his feet before catching it with his hands, and knocking down a 3-pointer. He even made it look very easy, and left the people watching him all in awe of his hidden talent.

Being athletic runs in the blood of the Markkanen family, as both his parents were former professional basketball players, while his brother, Eero, is a professional soccer player for AIK Fotboll Club in Sweden. That said, it does not come as a surprise that the Bulls rookie is also good with his feet, as he most likely grew up playing both sports with his other family members.

Through 25 games in the NBA, Lauri Markkanen is averaging solid numbers of 14.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 30.7 minutes per contest. Despite the Bulls being in rebuild mode, he is giving their fans a lot of reason to remain optimistic that their current struggles won’t last long.
