Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim doesn't appear to be too thrilled at having the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

The Cardinals secured their spot at the top with a 27-24 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, which dropped Arizona to 3-13 on the season.

Now, Keim and company find themselves in need of a major overhaul, and they decided that the first step in that process was to fire head coach Steve Wilks after just one year on the job.

With the franchise coming off one of its worst seasons ever, it's easy to understand why Keim isn't happy at his team's placement in the draft.

From ESPN's Josh Weinfuss:

Steve Keim on having the No. 1 pick: “It’s embarrassing as hell. I promise you in April we’re not going to feel that way.”

The Cardinals aren't that far removed from an appearance in the NFC title game, as Bruce Arians led the team to that spot during the 2015 season.

However, things haven't gone according to plan since then, and the Wilks hiring clearly didn't turn out the way that Keim and the rest of the Arizona front office expected it to.

On a positive note, there's plenty of appeal when it comes to having the highly-covered No. 1 spot in the draft, so it seems likely that the Cardinals will have a lot of interested candidates for the head coaching position.

After hiring a new coach, the franchise will then try to find a game-changer with the top overall pick in the draft.
