While the lockdown across the country has been rough on a lot of people over the last several months, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been relatively unaffected.

During a video conference call with reporters on Wednesday, Murray said that quarantine hasn't changed his routine all that much and that he has been spending most of his time taking care of his dog.

“I think I was built for this life because I don’t really leave the house much anyway,” said Murray, via Jess Root of Cards Wire. “Besides video games, really just playing board games, watching movies and obviously the dog is taking up a lot of our time here. I feel like I have a son of my own. He’s keeping me up late nights, early mornings. He’s a lot to deal with.”

The pup must take after his owner because the Cardinals star is certainly a handful on the football field.

In his rookie campaign, Murray started all 16 games and threw for 3,722 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions while completing 64.4 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 87.4. In addition, he rushed for 544 yards and four scores, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. Murray won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award for his efforts.

The 22-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Oklahoma, was originally selected by the Cardinals with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Thanks to Arizona adding star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins this offseason, expectations are pretty high for Murray and the offense heading into 2020.
