The Arizona Cardinals and quarterback Kyler Murray have been at odds this offseason amid the potential contract negotiations. Opinions on the matter have varied widely, but Larry Fitzgerald Sr. made his stance very clear. Fitzgerald Sr. took to social media to share his thoughts.

The father of the Cardinals all-time great wide receiver retweeted criticism of Murray, pointing out the quarterback is talented but not much else. Fitzgerald Sr. responded in kind, saying “He's spoiled brings his Oklahoma offense to the NFL team has to catch up great talent. He's never been humbled keep working.”

Aside from the lack of punctuation, you can glean that Fitzgerald Sr. is also highly critical of Arizona's quarterback. It's easy to understand where Fitzgerald Sr. is coming from. At Oklahoma, everything came easy for Murray. The BIG 12 is known for its lack of defense. Murray led Oklahoma's offense to score 40 or more points the majority of the time. But in the NFL, the speed of the game is so much faster. Defensive lineman can run down 4.40 tailbacks from behind. Passing windows tighten in the pros.

Murray's athleticism has never been in question. But Fitzgerald Sr. seems to believe the Cardinals QB is relying too much on his athletic ability and has not developed other parts of his game.

Following the wild card loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Kyler Murray erased any mention of the Arizona Cardinals from his social media accounts. That set off a fire storm and caused a rift between both sides. Cardinals owner Michael Bidwell has since stated that his goal is for Murray to be the franchise quarterback. Murray is looking for a lucrative contract extension, which would likely kill any possibility to retain key free agents like Chandler Jones.
