St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado exited Team USA's World Baseball Classic game against Cuba after getting hit on the wrist with a pitch. Fortunately, he went to get a X-rays, and they came back negative, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Nolan Arenado's fate was better than Houston Astros star Jose Altuve's was last night. Jose Altuve was hit on the hand in last night's USA vs Venezuela game by Daniel Bard, and it was revealed that he has a fractured thumb. The timeline for his return for the Astros is unknown.

Team USA was dominant in the game against Cuba winning 14-2. They scored in every inning that they came to bat, except for the seventh inning. Team USA will face the winner of the Japan vs Mexico in the World Baseball Classic championship game.

Arenado went 2-3 with a RBI before exiting the game. His teammate Paul Goldschmidt was one of the stars of the game. He had two hits, including a home run in the first inning that put Team USA in the lead.

Trea Turner turned in another great performance for Team USA, as he hit two home runs. Of course, he was the star of the show in the previous game against Venezuela, when he hit a go-ahead grand slam to give Team USA the lead for good.

Mexico previously beat Team USA in this tournament, back in the group stage in Arizona. Team USA has not played Japan. Either way it will be a tough task, but Team USA's lineup can compete with anyone.
