Arizona Cardinals defensive end Robert Nkemdiche finds himself in hot water again after being arrested on outstanding warrants earlier this month.

According to ABC15 Arizona, Nkemdiche was pulled over on June 6th at 6 AM for driving 75 MPH in a 30 MPH zone. Nkemdiche told police he was on his way to practice which started at 7 AM.

According to the TV station,  was arrested on a warrant for driving on a suspended license and for failing to appear in court. According to the report, The police also found a white powdery substance during the traffic stop but decided to not test it.

“Based on the totality of the circumstances, it was decided not to pursue testing of the credit card holder in lieu of impounding the item for destruction with Robert’s cooperation,” the police report stated, via ABC15.

The Cardinals released a statement saying they were aware of the situation and would comment further when it was an appropriate time.

Many believed Nkemdiche was a top 15 talent heading into the 2016 draft but a fall from a balcony and an arrest for marijuana possession a month before the draft caused his draft stock to fall. The Cardinals ended up taking him with the 29th pick even with all the red flags surrounding him.

Since coming into the league he has mostly stayed out of trouble except for these traffic citations that resulted in the warrant.

The bigger concern for the Cardinals and the NFL is trying to figure out exactly what the powdery substance that the police decided not to test was.
