Despite the Arizona Cardinals continuing to say they won't be trading Patrick Peterson, the rumors have continued to swirl. Former NFL player Antonio Bryant tweeted a picture of Peterson in a Chiefs jersey with the caption “soon” while tagging Peterson in the post.

Bryant was the same player who tweeted that the Cardinals wouldn't be drafting Kyler Murray, so it's unclear how reliable of a source he actually is.

Even if he isn't a reliable source, there is some apparent friction between the Cardinals and Peterson. Last month Peterson didn't report to veteran minicamp, and reportedly the reason was that he was upset with someone in the front office. Peterson didn't confirm that was the reason he didn't attend, but he also didn't do anything to try and make the rumor go away.

It's unclear if he plans to report to team activities later this month, but if he doesn't, there is no doubt going to be some rumors swirling then.

All Peterson needs to do to clear this up is say that he is excited to play for the Cardinals this season, or say there are no issues with him in the front office, but he hasn't done that.

That makes these rumors that keep popping up more and more believable. One team that has continued to be mentioned is the Chiefs, and he would make the secondary instantly better.

To get a deal done it would probably take quite the trade offer, but if Peterson causes enough of a fuss maybe the team will trade him for peanuts to get the media circus done with.
