LeBron James would ‘definitely’ look at buying Cavs in the future – Maverick Carter | NBA Sound from nba

Buying the Cavaliers makes sense for the 14-time NBA All-Star because he grew up in nearby Akron, Ohio. .

Touted as one of the best prospects in his younger days, “King James” exceeded expectations, and went on to win three titles. He used to have a bitter divorce with Cleveland. But the fans had already buried the hatchet because he led the city to their first title since 1964.

LeBron James now plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, and when he's done it is not impossible for him to take a new role for his hometown team.

Dan Gilbert is the current owner of the Cavaliers and has been since 2005. He had an uneasy relationship with James after “The Decision.” Under his ownership, the Cavaliers experienced ups and downs.

They reached the Finals five times, winning one. But also experienced a post-LeBron decline from 2010-2014.

James is now enjoying his path towards greatness as a player. If he can own a franchise he'll be like another great, Michael Jordan.

Jordan owns his hometown, Charlotte Hornets franchise for eight years now. He became the first NBA player to be a majority owner after Robert L. Johnson sold the Bobcats to him.

It wouldn't be a long shot if LeBron James can return and run the team he used to play for. It will be interesting to see how he run things around for the franchise that he lead to the top.
