CD Projekt Red, the developers of the upcoming dystopian science fiction game Cyberpunk 2077, just recently released a new gameplay video showcasing the differences in the game's graphics for both the Xbox One X and Xbox Series X. Their partnership with Xbox allowed them to reveal their new gameplay video entitled Night City Wire Special. The comparisons revealed that the graphics of Series X trumps the Xbox One X due to the lighting effects and attention to detail as the latter looks a blurry.

According to Hollie Bennett, CD Projekt's Head of Communications for the UK region, the footage was edited in order to minimize any spoilers or leaks. The video focused on the mission entitled, “Automatic Love,” where V, the game's protagonist, is tasked to hunt a missing person. Other characters were likewise introduced such as Wakako Okada and Keanu Reeve's Johnny, who were shown to give V instructions. At the end of the story sequence, revealed a torture scene that was abruptly cut.

In addition, the video featured a glimpse of the gameplay mechanics as seen with its first person combat experience with V taking out thugs with a Desert Eagle looking pistol, a shotgun, and a futuristic looking katana. The driving sequences in the game could allow the player to experience a Grand Theft Auto setting mixed with a futuristic appeal.

Bennett mentioned at the end of the video that the game can function well on both current and next generation consoles, meaning that the Xbox One version of the game can also be used for the Series X/S console. The same applies with its PlayStation counterpart. She likewise discussed a free and full upgrade for the next generation that will occur in 2021.

The game is set to be released on December 10, 2020.
