The Boston Celtics are off to a great start to the 2019-20 season. They're holding an 8-1 record through their first nine games, but that's not the only impressive feat they've managed to pull off.

The Celtics have recorded the lowest turnover rate of any team in NBA history through the first nine games of a season:

The Celtics are at just 11.1 turnovers per game, which is nearly two fewer than the next team (Orlando Magic with 13.2). Boston is also ranked ninth in points scored (113.4) and 3-pointers made (12.7) per game.

The Celtics dropped their first game of this campaign, but they've won every one since. Gordon Hayward was one of the players leading the charge for Boston. However, the former Butler Bulldog is expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks after suffering a broken hand in Saturday night's 135-115 win over the San Antonio Spurs. He could be available sometime around Christmas, according to most reports. Hopefully, he'll recover sooner rather than later.

“We're going to have to pick it up a little bit,” said Marcus Smart, who took Hayward's place in Boston's starting lineup Monday night and scored 17 points in 37 minutes. “Just a little bit more, turn up the energy on both ends. Everybody is going to have to step up now.”

The Celtics will look to extend their winning streak to nine on Wednesday night, when they'll serve as hosts to the Washington Wizards. Tip-off inside TD Garden is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
