When Marcus Smart returned from his thumb injury in Game 5 there some question about if it would still affect his game. It didn't take long though for Smart to get back to his old self, diving on the floor for loose balls and giving 110 percent effort on the defensive end.

One guy who was really impressed by the play of Smart was Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge, who discussed it on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Rich show.

“He’s just insane,” Ainge said. “Nobody does that. The first play of the game, the first play he’s back after 6 weeks out with a surgically repaired thumb and he just dives with that right arm, going for a loose ball. He’s a unique guy that way and I’m not sure I can think of anybody else that would do that.”

Since coming back from injury, Smart has only scored a total 15 points in the two games, but that isn't what the Celtics need from him. They need him to be aggressive on the defensive side and play fearless, something he has done his whole career.

The Celtics will take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night and one of the keys to the game is the way Smart plays.

If he can be aggressive early and get under the skin of some of the Bucks players that would be huge. His hustle also usually helps the fans get into the game, and the fans need to be at their best to get the Celtics the biggest boost they can.
