Following the Boston Celtics' 118-108 loss to the Detroit Pistons at TD Garden, superstar point guard Kyrie Irving met with the media after the game and gave his reaction to Monday night's defeat.

According to an article from Jay King of MassLive.com, Irving gave props to the Pistons but made it no secret that he's quite eager to play them again.

“It was a tie ball game, but you could just sense that they were in control for most of the game. Just the physicality, they brought it to the game,” Irving said after the loss. “It kind of makes you want to mark it down on the calendar to see them again, just by their reaction after winning the basketball game as well. So you can tell they wanted it, and they came out and proved it.”

Clearly frustrated with the defeat, Kyrie Irving managed to finish with 18 points and nine assists, but he committed an unusual six turnovers on the night.

Pistons star center Andre Drummond, who kept shushing the TD Garden crowd after he made 6-of-8 free-throw attempts, was a force to be reckoned with on Monday with 26 points, a whopping 22 rebounds, six assists, and four steals in 40 minutes of action.

After the game, Irving assured that he and his Celtics teammates would play better the next time around against the Pistons.

“Can't wait,” Irving said. “Can't wait. Can't wait. It's always exciting when you have these regular-season matchups because you never what can happen down the line, but it's always interesting because the way you respond. I know that most of my teammates and the coaching staff will be a little more prepared to play those guys.”

Kyrie Irving and the Celtics will get their opportunity for revenge on Dec. 10 when they travel to the newly-opened Little Caesars Arena to take on the Pistons in a rematch.
