On the brink of elimination, the Boston Celtics came through in a big way on Friday night, securing a massive Game 6 win against the Milwaukee Bucks to force a Game 7 on Sunday at the TD Garden. While the C's played well as a whole, it was Jayson Tatum who really stole the show, going off for an epic 46 points in the victory.

Following the contest, Marcus Smart had the perfect reaction to the All-Star willing the Celtics to the finish line.

Via Yahoo Sports:

“That's why he gets paid the big bucks,” Smart told reporters. “That's it, right there, for moments like that. I was telling him the whole game, ‘Just be you, man,' and he was.”

And Tatum is certainly proving he deserves all the money in the world. The former Duke standout went 17 for 32 from the field and 7 for 15 from downtown on Friday, even scoring 11 straight points for the Celtics in the fourth quarter during one span. He's frankly been showing out these entire playoffs, averaging 28.8 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.6 rebounds on a 37% clip from deep. Superstar status? I think so.

Tatum himself knew what was at stake and he wasn't going to let a tremendous season end just like that.

“This was our season on the line,” said Tatum. “Leave it all on the floor. That's the mindset that I have — the mindset that we all have — so I wasn't going to have any regrets. I was just trying to do what it took.”

Needless to say, the Garden will be rocking on Sunday.
