There is perhaps no other more publicized feud than that of the now-defunct Boston Celtics superteam of the 2000s. Ray Allen leaving the C's for the Miami Heat did not sit well at all with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and pretty much the rest of the team and at this point, there are still some things that have been left unsettled.

As it turns out, however, Garnett and Allen, in particular, are in a much better place right now as compared to where they were not too long ago. As a matter of fact, Pierce recently hinted that a reunion might be in the works:

“I think over time, things will mend together, and I think that, slowly and surely, we got a chance to talk to Ray at the Hall of Fame,” Pierce said on The Cedric Maxwell Podcast (h/t Sam Leweck of Heat Nation). “We were all there in the same building. And I really give a lot of credit to Doc [Rivers], though. Cause me and K.G. was sitting there at the Hall of Fame, and we were talking about the situation. Me and Ray pretty much mended our differences, and K.G. is still on the fence, but I think our conversation with Doc kind of smoothened things over to where you’re gonna see us all back together pretty soon.”

Pierce was inducted into the Hall of Fame earlier in the year as part of the 2021 class. Some of his closest buddies were in attendance, which included Garnett and Allen. The three even had a nice photo op after the ceremony, which sparked whispers of a possible reconciliation between the former Celtics teammates.

In his statement above, Pierce all but confirmed that KG and Allen have all but quashed their long-time beef. If they haven't already, then it looks like they're getting there sooner rather than later.
