Skip Bayless recently gave his opinion regarding Anthony Davis' comments about the idea of playing for the Boston Celtics, and it's safe to say the FOX Sports analyst and commentator thinks it's a big one.

The New Orleans Pelicans star recently said in an interview that he never said that he didn't want to play for the Celtics, and for Bayless, this means that Boston actually has a chance to get Anthony Davis and keep him on a long-term deal.

Earlier this month, Davis publicly requested a trade from the Pelicans through his agent, Rich Paul. The move received a lot of backlash from former NBA players like Kevin Garnett, who saw the trade request as ‘unprofessional' because of how it was handled.

The Los Angeles Lakers pursued Davis for a week, offering half of their roster to the Pelicans in hopes of acquiring the All-NBA forward.

Davis eventually remained with the Pelicans, making any trade discussions for him between now until the end of the season insignificant. However, teams like the Celtics will have a real shot at making a trade offer for AD come free agency, something that they weren't able to do during the trade deadline because of a contract stipulation involving All-Star guard Kyrie Irving.

The Celtics have a ton of assets at their disposal this summer, from young players to draft picks. They can essentially give the Pelicans the best offer they can get in the trade market for Davis.

Right now, the Lakers and the Celtics are the teams likely to push hard in a trade for AD this July, but other teams might also get involved, depending on how this season will end.
