Video: Celtics’ Kyrie Irving drops Ricky Rubio with sick crossover
Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving arguably has the best handles in NBA history, and Utah Jazz guard Ricky Rubio was just the latest victim of one of Irving’s lethal crossovers Saturday night in Boston.
Coming up the floor with the ball in his right hand, Kyrie Irving went between his legs and then quickly brought the ball behind his back, sending Ricky Rubio to the floor and likely the ice bucket after the game.
Kyrie Irving is starting to get in a really good groove after getting off to a slow start to the season. Since scoring just three points on Oct. 27 against the Detroit Pistons, the Celtics star is averaging 28.5 points in the eight games he has played in while shooting 56.3 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from beyond the arc. Uncle Drew is back in full swing, and it spells trouble for the rest of the NBA.
Kyrie Irving scored 43 points Friday night for the Celtics in an overtime win against the Toronto Raptors, who have the best record in the Eastern Conference right now. The five-time All-Star continues to prove that he’s one of the best scorers and players in the game right now. His handles can’t be matched by anyone either.
