The time has come and we could see a new champion crowned in the NBA on Friday night. We're here to bring you our betting prediction and pick for Game 4 of the NBA Finals as the Boston Celtics visit the Dallas Mavericks with a 3-0 series lead and a chance to walk away from this one as champions. Check out our NBA Finals odds series for our Celtics-Mavericks Game 4 prediction and pick.

The Boston Celtics have a chance to become the most dominant Playoff team in NBA history if they're able to sweep this Dallas team. They've been the clear-cut favorites since the beginning of the season and they'll finally have a chance to finish the job in the Finals. With a comfortable 3-0 lead, they should be hoisting the Larry O'Brien soon enough.

The Dallas Mavericks are in an 0-3 hole after yet another tough performance in the second half. They kept Game 3 close throughout the first half, but Luka Doncic fouled-out in the playoffs for the first time in his career as the Mavs crumbled the rest of the way. Now, they'll have their backs against the wall as they try to extend this series.

Why The Celtics Could Cover The Spread/Win

The Boston Celtics have been dominant all series and they're playing perfect team basketball on both ends of the floor. Their offense isn't relying too heavily on Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown and they're doing a great job spreading the ball to players like Derrick White. Both White and Brown have been lights-out on the defensive end, but the unsung hero has to be Jrue Holiday with the way he's been able to limit Kyrie Irving and find easy offense off the ball. Holiday adds an extra depth to the Celtics that the Mavericks haven't been able to keep up with. While Tatum or Brown are likely to receive Finals MVP, Jrue Holiday has been the glue-guy holding it together.

With Kristaps Porzingis nursing his ‘rare' injury, it's unlikely that the Celtics will risk his health and put him out their with a 3-0 lead. Even without him, the Celtics were able to adjust their game plan and become aggressive in getting to the free throw line. They've been known to take their foot off the gas at points during these Playoffs, but it seems as though they're dialed-in right now and determined to close these Finals with a series sweep.

Why The Mavericks Could Cover The Spread/Win

The Dallas Mavericks looked good heading into halftime with a one-point lead, but it was only a matter of time before the Celtics bounced back from their lackluster shooting in the first quarter. After cutting the lead to single-digits in the fourth quarter, their comeback effort was foiled by Luka Doncic fouling-out on two questionable blocking calls. They Mavericks had a tough time with the officials all night and their defense wasn't particularly polished, sending the Celtics to the line for 20 attempts. Kyrie Irving improved his three-point shooting drastically from Games 1 & 2, but the rest of the team struggled going just 9-25 from deep.

To win this game, the Dallas Mavericks will have to limit their mistakes on defense and focus on rebounding the ball. We saw their ability to come back from down 21 points in the second half and once their crowd got into the game, they could feel the momentum shifting in their favor. Following his tough exit in Game 3, expect Luka Doncic to have a huge bounce-back performance in his return. We should also see the Mavericks clean their act up on defense and limit the tedious fouls.

Final Celtics-Mavericks Prediction & Pick

This betting line is as tight as it gets and we should be in for a classic with everything on the line. The Boston Celtics have been completely dominant during this series and even without Kristaps Porzingis, they've been able to close games out in the second half and make all the necessary plays down the stretch.

The Dallas Mavericks showed their best muscle in Game 3 in the first half and during their comeback effort, so they'll need to return to that style of play here. They've seen success pushing the ball in the fast break against Boston, so we should see Luka Doncic turn into an aggressive scorer throughout this game.

Ultimately, while the Boston Celtics are favored in this one, we have to ride the Dallas Mavericks to win this game at home behind Luka Doncic. The crowd will be electric and he should be in for a massive performance. Let's roll with Dallas to get the win and force Game 5.
