Through the first 11 weeks of the 2018 NFL season, Kansas City Chiefs second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes has taken the league by storm with his play on the field.

This has quickly earned the admiration and respect from his peers and former players and coaches around the league. Among those is former Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil, who has voiced to TMZ Sports that he believes Mahomes can wind up being the best quarterback of all time.

“I think he has a chance to go down as one of the … if not the finest,” the legendary coach says.

Mahomes has quickly taken off into stardom behind his stellar play on the field that pushed him to put up godly type numbers so far this season as he leads the league 3,628 passing yards and 37 touchdown passes along with being second with a 117.9 passer rating. He put his impressive ability on the field in Monday's 54-51 loss to the Rams where he completed 33-of-46 passes for 478 yards with six touchdown passes.

This was the sixth this season that has notched four more touchdown passes and the second time that he accomplished that feat. He also joined Ben Roethlisberger and Y.A. Tittle as the only other players in league history to record multiple six-touchdown games in a single season. Mahomes has shown to have the complete package as a quarterback with his strong, accurate arm that allows him to make every throw while showing tremendous poise in the pocket and strong decision making to go along with that. He also can create plays with his mobility by throwing off script when plays break down.

The 23-year-old has all the attributes that should make him a star in the league for next decade-plus, which should only build toward his growing reputation on the field. In short, the Chiefs have a special player under center.
