The NFL world was recently turned upside down by a bombshell trade that sent wide receiver Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins, It was a transaction that came out of nowhere and transpired so rapidly, but the deal is in place and people are now left trying to make sense of it all.

According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, Hill had as many as a dozen trade suitors when it became known that the wideout and the Chiefs were unlikely to have an extension deal. But the top two suitors were the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets, with Hill eventually deciding to take his talents to South Beach.

The Dolphins' offensive ceiling certainly gets a significant raise with the arrival of Hill, whose speed and catch-after-yard abilities will be phenomenal for Miami, which was only 26th in the NFL in the 2021 season in terms of yards per pass completion at 5.9. Hill, on the other hand, is career  13.8 yards per reception receiver.

He should be able to stretch the field for the likes of Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki the same way he did in Kansas City for Travis Kelce and company. However, there would be some learning curve in chemistry with his new teammates, especially with Tua Tagovailoa, who's certainly not on Patrick Mahomes' level — yet.
