Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes split the cost of opening Arrowhead Stadium as a polling place on Tuesday.

Mahomes, who signed the richest contract in sports history before the start of the 2020 NFL season, talked to Jim Trotter and Steve Wyche about why he went into his own pocket to open Arrowhead Stadium as a polling place on Election Day.

As if Chiefs fans needed another reason to love Patrick Mahomes, the MVP just continues to show he's a star, both on and off the football field.

When Mahomes signed his 10-year extension worth up to $503 million with the Chiefs, he said he was excited to use his new money to help others and instill change in America.

By helping Arrowhead Stadium become a polling place, Mahomes is sticking to his words.

On the football field, Mahomes and the Chiefs are rolling right now. Kansas City is 7-1 on the season and looks primed to go on another Super Bowl run. Mahomes has thrown for 21 touchdowns on the season and only one interception. He has racked up 2,315 yards through the air while completing 66.9 percent of his passes.

The Chiefs' only loss on the season came against the Las Vegas Raiders. Kansas City has won three straight games since that Week 5 defeat.

It's going to be interesting to see if Mahomes and the Chiefs can repeat as champions.
