The Kansas City Chiefs have been the butt of many jokes in the last few weeks. After an epic collapse against the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game, many opposing fans have made a lot of jokes regarding them.

Amongst those not wasting an opportunity to throw a barb at the Chiefs expense is Keegan-Michael Key, who was hosting this year's NFL Awards Show. While showing a picture of Joe Burrow's pre-game outfit, the comedian joked that this outfit caused star quarterback Patrick Mahomes to forget how to play football.

That loss in the AFC Championship Game isn't funny at all for Chiefs fans, though. They held a 21 – 3 lead at one point in the first half, but costly errors and an intercepted Mahomes pass allowed the Bengals to rally back into the game. Mahomes and co. would win the coin toss in overtime, but a brutal interception on the opening drive set-up a game-winning kick to end their season.

It was a brutal loss for the Chiefs, who were the heavy favorites to make it out of the AFC this season. Their blown 18-point lead has become the subject of many jokes over the past few days, with Key just being the latest to pile on them. However, this team certainly has the talent and the will to come back stronger next season.

Expect this same Chiefs team to use this loss to come back stronger next season.
