The Kansas City Chiefs have finally woken up and their offense is finding their groove.
After the Chiefs recovered a fumble on the kick return, Patrick Mahomes hit Travis Kelce for Kansas City's third touchdown in three minutes against the Houston Texans.
The Texans jumped out to a 24-0 lead early in the second quarter and people were beginning to write off the Chiefs. But in the time you could microwave a bag of popcorn, Kansas City has crawled their way back into the game.
When the game kicked off, all of the momentum was swinging in Houston's direction. The Texans scored a long touchdown on their first offensive drive and blocked a punt to take an early two-score lead over the Chiefs.
Then, Tyreek Hill uncharacteristically fumbled a punt to set up the Texans for another touchdown. However, Mahomes is the quarterback on the other side of the field and the Chiefs' offense can score points in a blur.
At the same time, the Texans don't have any answers for Kelce in the red zone. There is still plenty of time left in Sunday's game but it's shaping up to be a memorable one against the Chiefs.
