It's common knowledge that the US is starting to become a lot more relevant across the European football stage. Chelsea star Christian Pulisic is one of the biggest names to come out of America and he just made history with a stunner of a goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinals.

Pulisic ran onto a clever ball over the top from defender Antonio Rudiger, then proceeded to take on a couple of Madrid defenders and eventually fire it home to give the Blues a 1-0 lead in the tie.

Christian Pulisic is the first American-born player ever to score a goal in the semifinals of Europe's most prized competition. This is just the beginning for a generation of footballers coming out of the country, too. Zack Steffen is currently the second-string keeper for Manchester City who takes on PSG on Wednesday in the other semifinal.

Gio Reyna and Sergino Dest are also starring for Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona, respectively.

Christian Pulisic struggled to find his form earlier in the term, but the youngster has played a key piece in Chelsea's success as of late. Thomas Tuchel's side is currently in a 1-1 deadlock with Madrid after Karim Benzema equalized just 15 minutes after Pulisic's goal.
