The Cincinnati Bengals are set to take on the San Francisco 49ers in a tough Week 14 matchup. The Bengals are coming off a disappointing loss where they gave up 41 points to the Los Angeles Chargers in a tough loss and one that they were hoping to win. In this post, ahead of the Bengals-49ers game, we're going to be making our Bengals Week 14 predictions.

If they're going to want to beat a talented 49ers team, the defense is going to have to play much better than they did a week ago and the offense is also going to need to do much more than they did against the Chargers.

The Bengals had a chance to be tied in the AFC North for first place after the Baltimore Ravens lost in Week 13 as well. Unfortunately for the Bengals, they couldn't get the job done against a tough team and they are still one game back to the Ravens.

Bengals Week 14 Predictions

4. They move into a tie for first place

The Bengals are going to enter Week 15 in a tie for first place of their division. The Ravens are taking on an interesting Cleveland Brown team who could explode at any given moment. They have the talent to win games but haven't gotten it going so far this season. Baltimore has not been playing great football as of late as they just recently lost to be Pittsburgh Steelers in a disappointing Week 13 matchup. This is going to continue for the Ravens as they are going to lose another game and allow the Bengals to tie them for first place in the AFC North.

The Bengals know what is at stake so they're going to come out playing some of the best football that they have played all season long to try to get into first place.

3. Joe Burrow has a huge game

Cincinnati wins games when their defense can get some stops, and Joe Burrows plays at an elite level. Unfortunately for Cincinnati, some weeks both cannot do the same and usually it's the defense who can't hold up their end of the stick. This is going to be the case once again on Sunday as Joe Burrow is going to throw for over 300 yards and have three touchdowns. He's going to throw one of those touchdowns to his star rookie wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase and it's going to help Chase with his rookie offensive player of the year award resume.

Burrows has shown throughout the season that he could perform in huge games and that's exactly what he's going to do because he knows how much of a must-win game this is for the Bengals.

2. Bengals struggle defensively once again

If the Bengals' defense was capable of getting stops throughout the year, they would be sitting in a much better position. They have allowed a good amount of points to some teams with questionable offenses at some points throughout the year. There are weeks where they look like they have an elite defense, and others where they look like they can't get a stop.

This is going to continue in Week 14 as they are going to play better than they did a week ago where they gave up 41 points but will still give up over 21 points. In the NFL, a team needs to get stops to compete at the highest level and the Bengals are going to look to do that in the near future. If they don't, they won't find much success.

1. They win on a late touchdown

This is going to be a close game as the 49ers haven't had the greatest year, but are still a very good football team. The Bengals do have weeks where they struggle at some points and throughout this game that is going to be the case. Luckily for them, their offense is going to keep them into the game and they are going to score a late touchdown with about three minutes left in the fourth quarter to take the victory and move into first place.

This is a must-win game for Cincinnati so expect them to come out firing on all cylinders. This is the biggest game of the season for them and if they want to make the playoffs, they need to perform.
