Throughout the Golden State Warriors dominance in the playoffs, Klay Thompson has notably struggled to find his way offensively.

These struggles continued to persist in Game 1 of the NBA Finals as Thompson couldn't buy a bucket — missing 13 of his first 16 shot attempts in the contest. In the midst of his shooting woes, Portland Trail Blazers star guard C.J. McCollum fired away his own personal take on Thompson's future with the Warriors.

The Warriors All-Star guard has had much difficulty in finding some offensive consistency heading into the NBA Finals averaging 14.4 points on 38.3 percent shooting from the field and 36.4 percent from beyond the arc. Each of these numbers is well below his career averages of 45.3 and 41.9 percent respectively from each distance.  He had scored in double figures in nine games but tallied 20 or more points just once over that span.

Despite Thompson's shooting struggles, Golden State has been able to still have a tremendous amount of success in the playoffs holding an NBA record 12-0 heading into the NBA Finals.

That has continued in Game 1 as the Warriors are cruising to a convincing win up by a comfortable double-digit margin behind huge performances from both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, who each have more than 25 points each on 10-plus made field goals.
