Danilo Gallinari’s recovery progress from a fractured right hand is trending towards the right direction. According to Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders, the forward is nearing a full recovery and could be just a few days from being 100 percent healthy.

This is a welcome development for the LA Clippers, who got Gallinari over the summer from the Denver Nuggets in a three-team deal that also involved the Atlanta Hawks.

Gallinari broke his hand after failing to keep his emotions in check, socking an opponent in the face during a friendly EuroBasket game last July. Fortunately for Gallinari and the Clippers, the injury turned out to be not serious enough to keep him out of any games in the coming regular season.

Gallinari is set to enter his ninth season in the NBA with career averages of 18.2 points on 42.0 percent shooting from the field, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. He will earn $22.61 million this season and will be an unrestricted free agent next year.
