NBA legend Jerry West may have spent his whole playing career with the Los Angeles Lakers, but his favorite player is not from the franchise. The current Los Angeles Clippers exec knows to give credit where it is due, and for him, it's just too hard to ignore Michael Jordan.

Speaking with NBA TV in the Las Vegas Summer League, West highlighted what made Jordan really great. He also shared his personal experience with the Chicago Bulls icon and how he never changes.

“Probably my favorite player of all-time. Michael Jordan. A lot of other incredible players I know and frankly been involved with, but to me, he [Jordan] epitomizes what I think is great in a basketball player. Someone who can play both ends of the court. His teams win. In the last quarter, he's going to be there. More importantly, I love Michael like a brother. You get a chance to spend time with him. He never changes, and that's why I like him,” West explained.

A lot of people will certainly agree with Jerry West. While there are certainly a ton of players that are easily likeable in terms of basketball, Michael Jordan has just separated himself from the rest.

Besides, there is a reason why His Airness is considered the GOAT of basketball despite several debates and contentions over the years. While the GOAT talk is another matter, the fact that West calls him his favorite basketball player speaks volumes of the massive impact Jordan has in the game.
