With the acquisition of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Los Angeles Clippers instantly became arguably the best team in the NBA. Last season, they were already able to win almost 50 games on their way to the playoffs where they gave the Golden State Warriors a tough six-game series before bowing out in the first round. Adding two of the best players in the league to that core makes them a bonafide powerhouse.

Aside from Leonard and George, the Clippers also have reigning Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams, versatile forward Montrezl Harrell, and defensive-minded guard Patrick Beverley. But for team advisor Jerry West, LA is far more deeper than what most people think.

The Clippers also have a couple of young, promising players in Landry Shamet and Ivica Zubac, both of which have earned a spot in the team's regular rotation. Moreover, the team acquired Rodney McGruder from the Miami Heat and Moe Harkless from the Portland Trail Blazers. These two can provide quality minutes off the bench.

Assembling a competitive roster for next season was something that the Clippers were already doing even before the Leonard and George deals were announced. They knew that they could miss out on the big names in free agency, so they were willing to ride with their success from last season.

Fortunately for the Clippers, both superstars chose them, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Now, their depth will be put to the test next season, as most of their competition has vastly improved as well.
