The LA Clippers have played all season without Kawhi Leonard and most of the season without Paul George as well as Norman Powell. During the first quarter of the Clippers matchup with the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes provided updates on the team's stars.

Transcribed via the TNT broadcast:

“Paul George has gradually progressed to the court, where he's doing 4-on-4 work with the coaching staff in a controlled contact.

“Norman Powell, sources tell me, is itching to get back out there and is expected to return at some point before the end of the regular season.

“Lastly, Kawhi Leonard is progressing nicely, but sources say a decision has not been made on whether he will return this season or not.”

Kawhi Leonard has played no games this season for the Clippers as he recovers from a torn ACL in his right knee. He underwent surgery back on July 13th to repair the anterior cruciate ligament, and there has been no timetable for his return as he progresses in his rehab.

Here's Leonard going through a rigorous workout and shooting drills ahead of the Clippers-Warriors game on March 8th.

Starting on Christmas Day, Paul George took a few months to rest his the torn UCL in his right elbow. George has slowly incorporated more movement as well as shooting, and participated in a 4-on-4 limited contact workout with Clippers coaches over the weekend.

Paul George still has no timetable to return, but he did come out of the latest 4-on-4 feeling good per Tyronn Lue. George is expected to continue to ramp up the contact over the next several weeks at which point he'll be re-evaluated. A decision on the next steps for him will be made.

Norman Powell has been out since February 10th, when he suffered a fractured medial sesamoid bone in his left foot. The treatment was deemed non-surgical to begin with, and after a few weeks of wearing a walking boot, Powell has resumed walking without one.

The Clippers getting back Powell would obviously be significant, even if Paul George and Kawhi Leonard need additional time to return. His downhill pressure, ball-handling, and shooting are all much-needed on this team, which has long been relying on Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris.

Following Tuesday's game against the Nuggets, the Clippers have just eight regular season games remaining. Six of those eight games will be at home, with four instances of at least 48 hours between games.
