Los Angeles Clippers guard Landry Shamet has been cleared from the coronavirus and is on his way to Orlando, Florida to rejoin the team.

Shamet will have to quarantine in his room for at least 48 hours and pass two more coronavirus tests once he arrives. After that, he can join his teammates for practice and, eventually, games.

Due to the NBA's protocols, Shamet will most likely miss Monday's scrimmage game against the Sacramento Kings. However, if everything goes according to plan, he should be good to go against the Los Angeles Lakers on July 3o.

Before the season was suspended, Shamet was having a phenomenal campaign, averaging 9.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists for the Clippers. He was also shooting 41.6 percent from the field and an astonishing 39.2 percent from three-point range.

With Shamet returning, the Clippers will still be down two players: Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell. Harrell left the NBA bubble on July 17 due to a family emergency, though he hinted that he'll be returning soon. Harrell posted an update to his Instagram story on Saturday, posting an image of a black screen with the caption: “See you soon #Orlando.”

Nevertheless, it's good to hear the Clippers are slowly getting their team back together. They're set to take on the Washington Wizards in a scrimmage on Saturday before wrapping up with their third exhibition against the Sacramento Kings on Monday.

The Clippers will play their first of eight “seeding games” on July 30 against the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, the Lakers.
