Right now, it remains to be seen if Kawhi Leonard will be able to take the floor for the Los Angeles Clippers this season. The former Finals MVP is still recovering from ACL surgery and right now, the Clippers have yet to provide an official timetable for his return. One thing we can say for sure is that Leonard is taking his time off to work on what could be a future career in the hip-hop scene.

Former Clippers teammate Lou Williams, who is now plying his trade with the Atlanta Hawks, recently sat down with Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report for a tell-all interview. One of the topics they discussed was Kawhi dipping his hand in the rap game:

“I just talked to Kawhi last week, we spoke about some music stuff… his album just came out,” Williams said, via Joey Linn of FanNation. “He just put a project out, he executive produced a project, and he has a lot of artists on it.”

As Williams said above, Leonard recently dropped his first album which featured artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, Polo G, and NBA YoungBoy, to name a few. Williams then revealed that Kawhi himself has been known to drop a few bars in the studio:

“I don't wanna tell all his business, because if he wanted it out there he could tell it, but he and I have some stuff in the can,” Williamd said. “It's just for us, we recorded it just for us.”

Lou Williams is one of the most renowned rappers in the NBA, having collaborated with some of the biggest names in the rap scene in the likes of 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne. As it turns out, Lou Will also has a few unreleased tracks with his former Clippers teammate. Let's all just hope that someday, somehow, these songs see the light of day.
